Our trip to Dublin

Hello!

As you know for Christmas I surprised Jack with a trip to Dublin, well a few weeks ago we went!

Both of us enjoyed every second of it. We stayed at the Ashling Hotel just opposite the Guinness factory.

Day 1:
Upon arrival to our hotel we checked in our bags and received a room upgrade which was lovely. After this we headed straight into the city, first stop was The Brazen Head pub, the oldest pub in Ireland. I would definitely recommend going here, it's really 'Irish' i think the word i'm looking for. We stayed in here for quite a while and then we headed to our dinner reservation at The Hard Rock Cafe, Jack and I love it here, it has a nice vibe. After eating we went and did some tourist shopping in all of the little Irish shops heading into Temple Bar. In Temple Bar we went to THE Temple Bar pub because we thought 'how could we not', again the vibe in here was very Irish and Jack and I absolutely loved it. We had a little boogie and a sing song then got some 'Off Beat' doughnuts (I think that was the brand, it was just across the road from Temple Bar) and got an Uber to the hotel, ate our doughnuts and got ready to go to dinner. We went the The Church Restaurant for dinner (upon recommendation) and the food was absolutely glorious, although we and jack thought it would have been better in a lunchtime atmosphere.

Day 2:
We rose rather early and ventured the other side of the river to explore. We went to a lovely little cafe called 'Lemon Jelly Cafe' for breakfast, the food was amazing here, I am a pescatarian (I don't eat meat) however Jack isn't and there was so many options for both of us which I always struggle with. After breaky we went to the Jervis Shopping Centre, we found so crackin' shops here (some that we rarely get in England) like, Stradivarius and Bershka. In Stradivarius I found an absolute bargain that is now part of my wardrobe I couldn't live without (see if you can spot it in the pics). Jack also found shops like Pull and Bear which I have never seen in England and even found some bargains of his own! After a successful shopping trip we went back to the hotel and dropped off our bags and walked to the Guinness factory. The experience of the storehouse surprised me tbh, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and stayed in the bar for like 3 hours, lol. I was on Rockshore apple cider, a new found fave of mine and after this we settled down in the hotel room and ordered room service (something we have both never done before so it was very exciting for us).

Day 3:
Our mission on day 3 was to find, oh yes, the Disney shop. So, after a spot of breakfast that's exactly what we did and OH MY GOSH, It was INCREDIBLE. Two words, three floors. Enough said really, most of the merchandise in there was things I had never seen before (and we've just been Disneyland). Would definitely go if you're in the area, it will not disappoint. We had a mini shopping trip and went to another pub and then we said our farewells to the lovely city.

Overall the trip was amazing, nothing really I could fault, the people were lovely, the pubs were lovely and the food was lovely. We made lots of memories and we are going to keep on making them!

Write soon,

Holly x
